Calling for Comments on Silvercreek DevelopmentSaturday, 19 November 2011 On Thursday, November 24th, there will an opportunity for public comment on planned improvements to Silvercreek Parkway in the vicinity of the Silvercreek Developments big box retail proposal for the former Lafarge property. This includes connecting Silvercreek Parkway South with Silvercreek Parkway North via an underpass at the rail tracks. The public information centre will be held at City Hall from 6-8 pm. Reps from the City and its consultant for this project will be present. This is the first sign of progress on this proposal since the City, the Howitt Park Neighbourhood Residents' Association (HPNRA), and the developer agreed to a mediated solution before the Ontario Municipal Board.
